Donde Jorge is a small series of just 6 variable edition hand pulled screen prints inspired by Mig's recent travels in Costa Rica.
Donde Jorge is the name of a restaurant on the banks of the Sierpe River and a springboard for many of those visiting the Osa Peninsula. From here you catch a boat to the tiny town of Drake Bay and the Corcovado rain forest.
The boat takes you through the mangroves before hugging the coast until reaching its destination, where it's a beach landing.
It's one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. Mig was fortunate enough to see so much wildlife, but it was the birds that really struck her. The colours and variety were incredible, and it's some of those birds you see on this print.
As in much of Mig's work it evokes the experience as much as the place, and the variation in this series represents the small movements around you as you walk through the forest, the rustle of the leaves in the breeze, the snap of a branch as a monkey passes overhead.

The print fits a standard 40cm by 50cm frame, but of course, I do always recommend a professional framers.
